Tigri Meccaniche, the association created in 2018 by a group of SDF employees with a passion for the SAME brand and its history, is now organising the second SAME tractor rally. The event will be held on September 25 this year in Treviglio, the city where the company was founded way back in 1942.
Four years after the first hugely successful edition, in which 150 machines participated, a new day-long rally dedicated to tractor enthusiasts and aficionados of the SAME brand is finally here.
The parade, which will start and end at the Treviglio Expo Centre and follow a route through the streets of the city, also passing by the SAME Museum, will be a great opportunity to get together and for owners to show off their SAME machines of every age and type and to swap stories about tractors – the main attraction of the initiative.
To make the day even more special, the owners and tractors enrolled in the rally will also have a chance to compete for the following prizes:
• Veteran Prize for the oldest diesel tractor;
• Passion Prize for the tractor travelling the furthest to take part in the event;
• Folklore Prize for the most enthusiastic and entertaining driver team;
• Loyalty Prize for the team with the most tractors.
The winner of the Veteran Prize will be awarded determined by consulting the official SAME registry kept in the Historical Archive, in which the date of production of each machine is indicated unequivocally in relation to its chassis number. This offers an opportunity to demonstrate the importance of the historical documents of the archive outside the purely administrative context in which they are usually employed.
There will also be plenty of other convivial activities during the rally, and everyone is invited – whether owners of a tractor or not – to take part either as participants or spectators!
